Someone received a response from Rex Energy, as follows:
"The person depicted in the video is not and has never been an employee of Rex Energy. We do not know who he is. Any representation to the contrary is entirely false."
I’ll also let the videographer know, if I can dig up contact info for them. UPDATE — Editing to include new information from the culprit’s now-former employer, MMC Land Management:
Today, we were disgusted to learn that one of MMC’s former employees used racial slurs and made racially charged comments during a peaceful protest in Mars, Pennsylvania, outside of work hours at a location with which we have no affiliation. We are sorry that this incident occurred. Whether at work or not, we do not condone hate speech - EVER. Inclusion and diversity are among MMC’s core values. We believe in equality for everyone, regardless of race, age, gender identity, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. MMC has terminated this employee and will never do business with him again in the future.

The young man in the video below, was a [removed inaccurate info from videographer]
He decided his mission today was to spew a selection of prejudices at protesters, who were quietly protesting against fracking by his employer.
He starts out with the usual right-wing “taker-spiel,” implying that this group of people who took time out of their day to stand in the rain because they are deeply concerned about his employer’s climate-, water supply-, and health-threatening actions must be lazy takers who’ve never worked in their lives. (He’s apparently unable to take any cues from their expensive outerwear, and convert those cues into a marginally accurate assessment of likely income, go figure.)
But it gets worse. I’ve set the video’s url to just before the moment when he leaps, with both feet, into full blown racism. It took less than 30 seconds for him to “go there.”
You see, the videographer is not white, and apparently, the harasser has a deeply confused understanding of both the biochemistry of melanocytes, and the evolution of species — an ignorance that he feels a need to flaunt before all the world, as if it would do anything but allow the entire world see him as a top-notch ignoramus.
